Brouwerij De Bie was founded in
nearby Poperinge and the French border. It is one of the smallest craft breweries in Flanders.
In 2001, the brewery moved to Loker. Its new home was now the well known tavern
“D’Hellekapelle”.
Zatte Bie, Hellekapelle, Plokkersbier and Helleketelbier are the most popular beers of our craft brewery.
Brouwerij De Bie ran a café where it was nice to have a chat, and which served beer and
good local food. In addition, they had a beer shop and an entirely new brewery.
In 2011, Brouwerij De Bie moved to Wakken (Dentergem), in a completely renovated farmhouse, where
you can watch the brewing process, from hop field to bottling. You can also taste
10 outstanding beers with their own characteristic taste.
